Kiran-of-Easy-Real-Food-blogEasy Real Food

We’re excited to be partnering with Kiran from Easy Real Food to bring you all of the recipes in this challenge! Kiran is an Integrative Health Counselor, a mother of 4, has made a few school lunches in her mothering career, and even wrote a book about it! If you are looking for tips and tricks to make your school lunches nutritious, fun, and easy, post a question to her in the Back to School with Real Food Facebook Group.

“While school will be starting soon, hold on to those last few days of togetherness. There’s still time to get your kids involved in the kitchen AND take them shopping with you. Think I’m nuts? Here are my reasons why.”

Week One

Kiran has put together four weeks of amazing recipes to help you get back to school with tasty meals your whole family will love. Week 1 includes:

Week1-1-mac-and-cheese-muffins-lunch

Mac and Cheese Bites

These are a fabulous lunchbox food, but they are also always enjoyed on lazy summer days at home, and are perfectly portable for the pool.

Week1-3-chocolate-banana-pudding

Chocolate Banana Pudding

Get your kids to help you make this healthified version of chocolate pudding.

Week1-4-kale-quinoa-salad

Kale and Quinoa Salad

Enjoy a light salad that is quick to prepare with a super easy dressing.

Week1-2-best-guac-for-post

The Best Guacamole

This is always a winner with last minute (or well planned out) guests.

The Mac and Cheese Bites are really tasty (for adults and kids)! The Chocolate Banana Pudding is the perfect treat to encourage our kids after the first week back in school. The Kale and Quinoa Salad is an excellent addition to any meal, or add a protein and you’ve got a main dish on your hands! Lastly, Guacamole… Need I say more?
